Comments Off

Adobe have released a public beta of Photoshop CS6 as an advance preview of the product that will be available (along with the full Creative Suite 6) later this year. Adobe have given Photoshop the biggest overhaul in recent history.

This release features a major User Interface redesign that resembles an Apple Pro application, the time saving feature of background save and further expansion and utilization of Adobe’s Content Aware technology to the patch and move tools.

Photoshop CS6 will require a 64bit Macintosh running Snow Leopard or Lion. While Windows XP and Windows 7 will be supported, Windows Vista will be unsupported. Adobe is also working with Apple and Microsoft to ensure compatibility with their yet to be released next generation operating systems, OS X Mountain Lion and Windows 8.

Check out the Photoshop CS6 beta videos on the Photoshop YouTube channel and also check out the videos and tutorials from this resource.

Apple has surprised everyone and announced their next version of Mac OS X, or OS X Mountain Lion as it is known. Expect to see features of iOS5 ported over of the iPhone and iPad appearing on your Mac. New (for OS X) Apps to appear include Messages, Notification Centre, Game Centre, Reminders, Notes, Share Sheets, Twitter Integration and AirPlay Mirroring.

Mountain Lion comes just seven months after the release of Mac OS X Lion, it would appear that Apple is accelerating the release cycle of OS X.

Digital Camera Workflow

We’ve developed a quick work flow guide for managing and publishing your digital photos to your iDevices and the web. Both iPhoto and Aperture work flows are similar, Aperture gives you more control over you photos, but has a steeper learning curve.

If you’re just beginning, then an iPhoto workflow is a good place to start with great integration with iLife Apps and iDevices. When you feel that you’ve outgrown iPhoto and are craving more control then it’s time to migrate to Aperture.

More information iPhoto and Aperture.

Kerio Connect – Precise control of Out of Office messages

Nov 18, 2011
Comments Off

Kerio Connect was recently updated to 7.3 this month, bringing with it a number of improvements including better performance and stability, support for more devices & systems and a number of features to make management and setup easier. We will be deploying this update to our clients in the near future.

One of the improvements is you now have precise control over your Out of Office replies.

You can now set you set the date and time period that you want the Out of Office messages to be active for. You no longer need to leave turning on your Out of Office message until the last minute, and you do not have to remember to turn it off when you no longer need it.

To set the away message, log into your webmail and set the Out of Office message by going to the ‘Settings’ menu and selecting ‘Out of Office’. Tick the ‘Send Out of Office messages’ option, set the date & time for period you want the Out of Office message for, enter your message, then click ‘OK’.

You can also set your Out of Office Message directly from Outlook (Windows) by clicking on the ‘Out of Office’ button in the Kerio Connect toolbar. Entourage or Outlook 2011 (Mac) users can set their Out of Office message by selecting ‘Out of Office…’ from the ‘Tools’ menu.
