Spark Manual updated for v5.7

We have just updated the Spark Help to include an updated manual for version 5.7. This is accessed through the Help icon in Spark on the top/right.

It is a PDF and can be printed for circulation in your office, but if you would prefer us to provide you with a printed and bound copy, please email us here and we will get a copy out to you.

Mac App Store

The Mac App Store launched today. The App Store is an easy way to discover and install applications on the Mac, it works in a similar way as the App Store for iOS devices. In fact it looks very similar to the App Store on the iPad.

The Mac App Store is not the only way to install new applications on your Mac and not all Mac Applications are available from the store, but it is a good starting point and should prove popular with users and developers as it develops and matures.

The Store currently features Apple’s iWork and iLife applications and even Aperture. Apps from other developers include Twitter for Mac, Pixelmator, Things, SketchBook Pro and even JellyVNC from Digital Arena’s Marcus Radich.

The Mac App Store is available as part of the Mac OSX 10.6.6 update, so yes you need to be running Snow Leopard to access it.

Pageproof 3.1 is ready

Happy 2011!

We have started 2011 early with the release of Pageproof 3.1 on the hosted Pageproof server (www.pageproof.co.nz) and this update will move onto localised copies soon. Improvements are many – but the biggest new feature is the addition of “Stamps” allowing your users to put an Approved or Reviewed stamp on proofs.

Your clients won’t need any retraining as we have made sure the product keeps to the Pageproof interface so many people know.
